The Impossible
I am sure that most of you have heard the paradox: Snow in Alabama. Well we have too. Every other year or so there is a wild prediction, 50% chance of snow. And pretty much every year since the blizzard of 1993 there hasn't been any snow to account for. The weather men and women sure like playing tricks on us don't they? Well this year seems to be a little different. Two days ago they were predicting snow again and it was an 80% chance. So that night at around 9:30 when it is still 45 degrees we went to bed knowing that the weather man was crazy. Our belief was confirmed the next morning to wake up to no snow and only 38 degrees outside. So we began our day and then around 9:30 AM the unthinkable happened. Little white flakes of ice were falling from the sky. It was snowing. Really it wasn't very exciting. About an hour later it stopped and there was a light dusting all over the ground. So we kinda played around in it for awhile and had some fun. Believe it or not there is still some snow hanging around today. The most amazing thing about the snow is that is was still around 38 degrees when it snowed which is not optimum temperature. I guess the moral of the story is that is really can snow in Alabama (just not very much).
